I am head of the Eawag-Empa Library, a department of Eawag. It is the library for 500 scientists and 200 PhD students from two ETH-Institutes: Eawag (Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology) and Empa (Swiss Federal Institute of Materials Science and Technology). I organised the merger of the former libraries of Eawag and Empa in the new Forum Chriesbach in 2006. I am responsibile for the library budget (2 Million SFr.), personnel management and recruitement (12 employees, libraries in Dübendorf, St. Gallen, and Kastanienbaum), collection development (Electronic resources, acquisition, negociation with publishers) ...
