Grain growth under stress in wet sodium chlorate aggregates observed "in situ". Experiments were carried out between glass slides at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. Scale bar is 50 µm. Duration of entire experiment 71.5 days. Grain growth was monitored during 37 days. Growth rate was 2-5 µm/day. Sigma one was oriented north-south.

Pictures on the right show the situation after 30.6 and 43.7 days respectively.
